Saturday Scruples

Have you ever had a friend, co-worker, family memeber or aquaintance that just could not leave well enough alone? No matter how many times, or how many ways you tried to let this person know that you did not want to argue with them, or even persue a relationship with them, they just would not leave you the phuck alone? You shun their phone calls (thank God for caller id) you ignore their emails, you try hiding in the closet when they make yet another unannounced, unwelcomed, visit. Yet every time you turn around, there they are. If you aren't nice to them, then they go around talking trash about you to everyone who's willing to listen. Your family and friends feel like they are being put in the middle of something they want no part of.
What's a person to do? If you finally resort to telling them to buzz off and leave you alone, you know it will mean all out war. You've seen what this person is capable of. More than once. Besides that's just not your style. You don't want to hurt them, but you don't want to hang out with them either.
